Billy (Highland Park, NJ)

Sprung from the roots of the seminal punk bluegrass band, Seigobillies, the four person tandem known asBillyhas steadily evolved into one of New Jerseys most versatile and loved bands. Billy has been referred to as equal parts Argybargy era Squeeze and early Elvis Costello, along with bits and pieces of Midnight Oil and Billy Bragg.

The songs hold the essence of great rock and rollmelodic vocals, catchy hooks, tight harmonies, with rhythmic and often introspectively poetic lyrics. Live shows are energetic and loads of fun  billy songs span the spectrum from edgy rock and shoe stomping, punk-powered bluegrass all the way to melodic, roots-inspired ballads.

Known for their use of diverse instruments including guitars, banjo, sax, accordion and Irish bagpipes, billy has been called "refreshing" by Jersey Beat Magazine and "one of New Jersey's top live bands." Having had songs on such TV shows as MTV's Road Rules Challenge, Why Can't I Be You, Angels and PBS's Road Trip Nation, billy is excited to announce the release of the band's second full length album, blue skies blue everything.

Cotton  (New Brunswick, NJ)

http://www.cottonband.com/

Cotton is a rock band from Central NJ. The band formed in the fall of 2008 with members Brandon Broderick (Vocals/Guitar), Leo Kalik (Vocals/Guitar), John Aponte (Bass) and Andrew Saunders (Drums). The group went through numerous changes artistically and musically before ending up where they are now. Cotton mainly performs in the tri-state area with a current focus on Central NJ and Pennsylvania. Cotton believes the only way to reach an audience in a meaningful way is to speak truthfully. Whether that truth is enlightening, personal, harsh or crude, it always comes from the heart. Cotton believes not only that their music has a message worth sharing but also that their live show is full of fun, excitement, spontaneity and good vibes.

Bodega Satellite  (Woodbridge, NJ)

bodegasatellite.com
http://www.facebook.com/bodega.satellite.7

Bodega Satellite is an independent rock band from Woodbridge, New Jersey. They began life as Vulgarsund after the demise of guitarist/singer Alberto Rios and drummer Kevin Poznanski's previous group. Concentrating on Puerto Rican native Alberto's songs (largely written in Spanish), the band went through a succession of bass players before welcoming Christopher Rousseau into the fold in October 2010. Soon after, they became Bodega Satellite, and began writing new material while still keeping the Vulgarsund songs in their repertoire. Influenced by, and drawing comparisons to, The Pixies, early Weezer, and Nirvana, the dynamic power trio has a unique indie rock sound sprinkled with a Latin flavor. In July 2011, the band released their self-titled debut album. From the brisk and upbeat instrumental opener Pre (which acts as an intro to the hard-hitting SeƱor), the more moderately paced and bouncy Al Fin, to The Thermals inspired Sangre and the Pixie-ish tunes Animalistic Sounds of Purity and frantic closer Abracadavre, the CD has something to please everyone. Possessing an undeniable live energy, the band is continuously booking gigs in support of the album.
