Loves It! A Wildfire Benefit Concert

All proceeds from tickets sales to this show will be donated to the local firefight effort. Come have a night of culture and fun and help support our brave and overworked heroes.
BIO -
Vaughn Franklin Walters
Vaughn was born and raised in beautiful Macomber West Virginia, a town of about 47 people and two bars. The cheat river snakes it's way through the county and the roads are mountainous and windy! Vaughn started his musical life singing with his mother Sandy and Grandfather Vaughn. Vaughn Sr. was also a songwriter who inadvertently rubbed tobacco juice on his Grandson as he sang.
Vaughn picked up saxophone in Preston High to play in the school's marching band, and found himself with an electric bass in his hands at the age of 15. He was in numerous punk bands, singing, playing, arranging tight songs and playing all over the county.

In his student days Vaughn performed as Ole VW, and refuses to play songs from that era, though his friends often insist.
At 25 Vaughn moved to Austin TX and founded acoustic trio the Shake 'Em Ups, who toured the US in a haze of upbeat songs, optimism and Thunderbird. That band went bust and Walters became a fixture in Leo Rondeau's honky talk band Dynamite Tales on banjo, guitar and harmony. He played in roadhouses all over America as right hand man to the songwriter for almost 3 years before setting sail full time in Loves It.
Jenny Parrott
Jenny Parrott has been singing as long as she can remember. She sang at the dinner table, during class, at the bus stop and on the beach as a kid in New Haven CT. She learned gospel from local church singer David McClure on the way to school, folk songs from guitarist singer Marion teacherlady at West Hills Elementary, and campfire songs camping with her family and the New Haven Hiking Club.
Jenny got her first guitar at 18 and started writing songs, joining Nebraskan country band the Belmont Boys at 21 as lead singer and songwriter. The Belmont Boys became Shotgun Party when Jenny moved to Austin TX at 22. Shotgun Party recorded 3 full length albums of mostly original material penned by Parrott, and toured the US and Europe extensively. Loves It is the singer's foray into instrumentalism and she is learning fiddle, mandolin and lead guitar. She is writing her first book, a biography of her Grandmother Beatrice Parrott, who is 91.
