Tall Tales Music Festival and The Coffee House at Chestnut & Pine present an evening with Nashville, TN-based indie-rock band Canyon Spells.
Friday, May 6 The Coffee House at Chestnut & Pine 492 N. Pine Street Burlington, WI 53105
Doors: 6:30PM Zach Torres: 7:30PM Canyon Spells: 8:30PM
Canyon Spells, consisting of Jimmie Linville and band mates Daniel Pingrey and Michaela Thomas, gracefully combine complex and melody-minded songwriting with a guitar-heavy breed of indie rock. Throughout Now That Were Gone, Canyon Spells wrestle with themes of disconnection and divide that feel both timeless and current. "A lot of the album is poking at the culture of our generation, and this constant barrage of social media that most people seem to have just accepted," says Linville. It affects everything: love, relationships, hopes, dreams and the music explores that, but with a chip on its shoulder.
