"Walk Together Children", The Spirituals Project Choir, under the direction of Daryl J. Walker, will present an evening of the music called, spirituals, first sung by the African slaves in America in 17th and 18th century. This music was sung during the Civil War, later in the 1930's, and was sung during the marches in the 1960's - most notably depicted in the movie, "Selma".
Other featured groups are: the Chancel Choir and the Choristors from the University Park United Methodist Church. The noted NOENEMIES song leaders will present a hip-hop variety of music of peaceful protest. A special guest from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver will be featured.
It will be an evening of music that transforms and heals, of joy and overcoming, and hope for the future, as we all, "Walk Together Children".
Doors open at 6:00pm, concert will start promptly at 7:00pm
