The 33rd Claremont Folk Festival takes place on Sunday, May 22, 2016, with gates opening at 3, and music beginning at 4pm. Join us at our new venue, the beautiful Sontag Greek Theater at Pomona College, in Claremont, CA. All seating is General Admission, which includes a mix of concrete bench seats, chair seating, and open lawn.
Ticket price also includes admission to three workshops running from 11am to 3pm including: Intro to the Banjo with Kent Besocke, Mountain Dulcimer with Leo Kretzner, and History of Protest Folk Songs with Ross Altman. All the workshops will be held at the Folk Music Center 220 Yale Ave Claremont, 3 blocks from the concert venue. Workshops are first come, first served, and space is limited.
Local gourmet restaurant, Pappas Artisanal, will sell food, libations will be offered at the concert by Dale Bros Brewery, Claremont Craft Ales, and Plume Ridge Wine Merchants, and Burt & Rocky's will sell ice cream.
Guests are recommended to bring stadium seats or seat cushions for bench seating, and may bring low back chairs for lawn seating (only).
Personal food and beverages not allowed (except reusable water bottles).
No animals are permitted in the venue, with the exception of identified service animals.
Free parking will be available at the nearby Pomona College parking structure.
