Ekachai Jearakul @ CSU Bakersfield
The Music Program at California State University, Bakersfield presents a virtuosic award-winning guitarist as part of the Visiting Artist Series. Ekachai Jearakul - the 2014 winner of the GFA International Concert Artist Competition - will present his winners tour concert at CSU Bakersfield. The annual Guitar Foundation of America competition is highly competitive and those that win this prestigious award receive a recording contract as well as a subsidized 50-city concert tour. We are proud that Bakersfield has been one of the stops on that international tour for the past five seasons! Jearakul will present a dynamic program of music by Leo Brouwer, Joaquín Turina, Stephen Goss, and Johann Kaspar Mertz, among others.
This concert takes place on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 7:30 PM in the Music Building, room 127. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for seniors (60+) and $5 for any student with a student ID. Seating is limited to roughly 100 - so please go online to secure your seat now.
