Haller House Benefit Barn Dance
Join Historic Whidbey on January 22 at 6:30 p.m. for an evening of old-time fun at the historic Crockett Barn near Coupeville, WA.
As the old ones said, Put on your dancing shoes and come "Trip the Light Fantastic!"
All proceeds go to the Save the Haller House Campaign - to purchase and restore Coupeville's 1866 Haller House, and transform the site into a public Territorial Heritage Center.
Your $65 ticket includes the music and the food:
Entertainment:
"Island Contraband" is a group of select Whidbey Island musicians who specialize in bluegrass and Contra dance music. A Contra caller will be on hand to call dances.
Period music of the Civil War era will be provided by Jim and Betty Lightner to pay homage to Colonel Haller (a Civil War veteran) and his wife.
Attendees will also get to "meet the Hallers" as our fine living history thespians Patrick and Karen Haas make cameo appearances as Col. Granville and Mrs. Henrietta Haller - the fascinating builders of the 1866 house.
Refreshments:
a dessert buffet & beverages: coffee, tea. No-host beer & wine
