With numerous reviews and critical acclaim, from journalists and djs alike, I(heart)Shiva is a night that is not to be missed. I(heart)Shiva takes place on the 2nd and the 4th Saturday of each month at the stylish and intimate Baltic Room (www.thebalticroom.com) in the heart of the Capital Hill district of the Emerald city. The Saturday night gigs have become a ritual for fans of music in general but especially fans of Bollywood/Bhangra music. The evening starts slowly as Dj Peter Madril gets the party goers on the dance floor with massive asian and house mixes along with Trance and Arabic. Later in the evening, DJ Manpreet kicks it into high gear with his original remixes of top Punjabi Bhangra and original remixes of Bollywood film songs, house, trance, and hip hop music. Helping the Djs take the vibe and the spirit of the night the the ultimate high are city's best and most popular dhol player and MC, Ravi-Inder and MC Eko, respectively.
