San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra - "Tales of the Wanderers"
San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra - Fall Concert. "Tales of the Wanderers": a musical odyssey of mythic proportions. Featured composers: Associate Music Director Martha Stoddard: "Horse" / Allan Crossman - "Impromptoodle," a wind-quintet theme-and-variations on an early East-Coast American fancy / Music Director Mark Alburger: "Sejong the Great" (echoing a medieval Korean world of lost echoes on a quest) / Lisa Scola Prosek: "Lucaria" (a Native-American operatic tale of collaborations and collisions with Californios and Russians) / Michael Kimbell "Golden Gate," (a Barcarole free-for-all of floating fantasies) / principal Oboist, Stardust, will conclude the festivities in a choreographic wander to France for the Proustian "A la recherche des dances perdues" (In Search of Lost Dances).
