Everything Means Nothing to Me: The Music of Elliott Smith
Elliott Smith, once a member of the indie rock band Heatmiser, was adored for his solo albums and intimate shows. His music grew and he took risks in his songwriting, but never lost his keen sense of beautiful melody, all the way up until his untimely death in 2003.
Come hang out for an evening of some of Charlotte's finest songwriters paying tribute to Elliott Smith. We will have solo performers as well as full bands covering everything from Heatmiser songs to his posthumous final album, From a Basement on the Hill. The event will be a benefit for Elliott Smith's non-profit organization of choice, Free Arts for Abused Children.
Performing:
Rusty Colton (of Girl Pants) Elonzo Wesley Nicholas Robinson (of The Business People) Pete Hurdle (of Del Rio - the band) Nicholas Holman (of Landless) Phil Pucci (of Serfs) Future Burnouts Little District + more TBA
