42nd Street Moon kicks off its fifteenth season anniversary celebration with Moon About Town, a gala concert at the Alcazar Theater on June 25, featuring songs from such past hits as Something for the Boys, Jubilee, Goodtime Charley, Finianâs Rainbow, Minnieâs Boys, Silk Stockings, Girl Crazy, Very Warm for May, DuBarry Was a Lady, Face the Music, Call Me Madam, Louisiana Purchase, Oh Captain, and more. Act Two features selections from âthe shows missedâ as well a sneak preview from the exciting 2007-08 line-up!
Artistic Directors Greg MacKellan and Stephanie Rhoads announced that featured guest stars for the evening include Klea Blackhurst, who was a huge hit in the companyâs Red Hot and Blue (2005), local young cabaret and recording artist Judy Butterfield of Judy Sings Judy: Songs of a Young Garland; Broadway actor Marcus Lovett, who starred in Phantom, Les Miserables, and Andrew Lloyd Webberâs original London production of Whistle Down the Wind, and Debbie de Coudreaux, who starred for eight years at the Moulin Rouge in Paris and was featured in leading roles on Broadway and in the tours of Show Boat and Grand Hotel. Special Guest Star is cabaret and concert star Andrea Marcovicci. Marcovicci starred in the Moon production of On a Clear Day You Will See Forever in 1999, and will grace the Moonâs Eureka stage again in their production of Coco next spring.
