Sphere Ensemble Premiere Concert
Sphere Ensemble, a new string chamber orchestra formed by 13 young professional musicians from the Denver metro area, is set to perform its premiere concert on April 1, 2011.
The inaugural concert will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4500 E. Hampden Avenue in Denver, and starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students, and are available online at www.BrownPaperTickets.com and with cash or check only at the door the night of the concert. The program includes string serenades by Tchaikovsky and Elgar, as well as works by Mozart and Grieg.
The Sphere Ensemble is being started in the tradition of the great chamber orchestras of the world, including the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. They will bring to their audiences the richness of a string orchestra with the intimacy of a string quartet.
