Strongman

Strongman, the award-winning documentary about Stanless Steel has it's New York City theatrical opening at the IFC Center starting Wednesday, January 26 and running until Tuesday, February 1. The trailer is at www.strongmanfilm.com/trailer.html

There will be four or five shows a day. The IFC Center's ticketing system won't be able to generate advance tickets until Monday, January 24th, but we want to allow you to buy advance tickets directly from us for the evening shows Wed through Saturday. We will then have tickets waiting for you at the box office on the day of your show.

**Please note-- the showtimes at this point are still approximate, as the theater can't know the precise times until it knows what other films they are holding over. The IFC Center has estimated that the evening show will start at 7:40, but it might be up to fifteen minutes earlier or later. The film is two hours long, so if you need to precisely know, wait till Monday, January 24th to purchase your tickets directly from IFC Center.

Opening night, Wednesday, January 26--
Intro by Zachary Levy
After the approx. 7:40 show, there will be an opening night party at the Blind Tiger Ale House about two blocks away on Bleecker St. The party will be sponsored by the great folks at Coney Island Beer and there will be specials on Coney Island beers. Not only does the Blind Tiger have one of the best selections of craft beers in the city (and a fireplace) there will be sideshow performers from Coney Island's stable of stars and Stan may even bend a penny.

On Thursday, January 27th--
Celebrated director Ramin Bahrani (Goodbye Solo, Chop Shop), whom Roger Ebert calls "the new great American director" will introduce the approx 7:40 show. Ramin has been a huge champion of Strongman and its a thrill to have him introducing the film. Q & A with Zachary Levy as well.
