Chicago Composers Orchestra Winter Concert
Join us for an exciting evening in beautiful Ganz Hall! The CCO celebrates the 2nd concert of its inaugural season with Andrea Clearfield's violin concerto Romanza. Clearfield's music has been praised by the New York Times for her "graceful tracery and lively, rhythmically vital writing," and by the L.A. Times for her "fluid and glistening orchestration." Romanza will feature soloist Elina Lev, Associate Concertmaster for the Charlotte Symphony.
Also on the program are world premieres by Luke Gullickson and Chicago-based composer Brandon Harrington, as well as Samuel Barber's 20th century masterpiece, Adagio for Strings. The concert will be conducted by Matthew Kasper.
