Rock Us to Oireachtas! A St. Patrick's Celebration and Fundraiser Featuring Dulahan, Benefiting Dwyer School of Irish Dance
Come on out to a pre-St. Patrick's Day celebration, featuring live Celtic music from Dulahan! Throughout the evening, dancers from Dayton's own Dwyer School of Irish Dance will perform to traditional and modern Irish music. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Dwyer School of Irish Dance, giving students the opportunity to perform at Oireachtas, a regional Irish dance championship later this year.
Dulahan's music is a Celtic hybrid that pays homage to the traditional but incorporates all the varied musical influences of the five members into its unique sound. The result is a unique blend of creative songwriting and musical energy that draws on both contemporary and the traditional Celtic but also unmistakenly contains subtle hints of a Roots/Americana feel as well.
The interplay of the multiple layers of instrumentation, combined with the powerful 3- and 4-part vocal harmonies within the bands' original compositions generates a sound that connects with fans of the traditional and the contemporary and draws new fans to Celtic music wherever their music is heard.
