Sphere Ensemble - Denver
Sphere presents a joyous blend of folk melodies drawn from various styles of music, from classical to bluegrass to rock. This ascendent, self-conducted group sinks their collective teeth into any genre of music they like, employing the ferocious talents of its musicians to bring alive original pieces and arrangements as well as beloved familiar works. April's program will include Sphere premiers of pieces by Turtle Island String Quartet and Polish composer/mountaineer Mieczysław Karlowicz, brand new arrangements of Mumford and Sons and Simon & Garfunkel, and favorite works by Tchaikovsky, Villa-Lobos, and Bartok.
