Bushels & Barrels Local Food, Wine & Beer Festival
The Bushels and Barrels Local Food, Wine and Beer Festival was created to celebrate all things great and local in Southwest Virginia! Bushels & Barrels will held June 20, 2015 and will host a variety of items from around the region including food, wineries, breweries, arts, crafts, and live music! **Be sure to read about our VIP Ticket options!
Food vendors will be serving up delicious meals made with local ingredients, artists and crafters will be selling their locally made wares. Farmers & Producers from around the region will be selling locally grown and produced items, and an array live music will be showcased!
Music for the event will include "The C.C. Coates Band" a local bluesy, rock and roll band hailing from Patrick County, VA. "Firecracker Jam," an Electric Mandolin & Saxophone driven Psychedelic Jazz Rock Fusion Jam Band based out of Lynchburg, VA. Next in this exciting line up is Raleigh based, "Chatham County Line" who brings a deep reverence for traditional American roots music and timeless bluegrass instrumentation to insightful, poetic original songs and lastly, "The Northerners," Richmond based band that mixes the sentimental sounds of classic rock and roll with twists of modern folk and gritty contemporary blues.
Wineries from around the region will be providing tastings and purchases for the event. Wineries include Stanburn Winery, Preston Ridge Winery, Hamlet Vineyards, West Wind Winery, and The Homeplace Vineyard. Breweries include Devil's Backbone and Lickinghole Creek Brewery.
VIP Ticket Holders will be invited to the VIP Pre-Party which will held Friday June 19th at Reynolds Homestead from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Slick Jr. & The Reactors will be on stage singing nitty, gritty blues, ticket also includes 2 complimentary beverage tickets, light appetizers and lots of fun leading up to the main event on Saturday.
Bushels & Barrels Local Food, Wine & Beer festival is a partnership among three non-profit organizations in Patrick County: Reynolds Homestead, a Commonwealth Campus Center of Virginia Tech; the Patrick County Skate Park Association, and One Family Productions, producers of Front Porch Fest. The mission of Bushels & Barrels is to mutually promote the economic development of our local food, wine, and beer producers, generate more public awareness for the local products available in our area, and increase tourism to the local area with a signature event.
