Kinderhook TwentyTen Rockin' Again
KINDERHOOK, the homegrown New Jersey country rock band of the 1970s that spurred local live band music into a rocking New Jersey club scene comes back to the Jersey Shore on Friday, August 6 at Tim McLoone's Supper Club in Asbury Park. They developed a loyal following that insured a full house for 70s and 80s venues- Widow Brown's, Dodds, The Final Exam, A Joint in the Woods, Osprey, Stone Pony -throughout the metropolitan area and Jersey shore. At the 1975 Schaeffer Music Festival in Central Park, Kinderhook played for 25,000 people as an opening act for Poco and have been dubbed the greatest unsigned band of their time. Kinderhook includes original band members Yuri Turchyn, vocals, violin and guitar; Andy Fediw, vocals and bass guitar; Jerry Kopychuk, vocals and guitar; Craig Barry, vocals and drums; John Greenaway, guitar; John Korba, vocals and piano, Jim Ryan, Pedal steel guitar.
