11th Anniversary Fiesta
The Yakima-Morelia Sister City Association presents its annual dinner and concert fundraiser, Fiesta, on Friday, April 30, 2010. The evening will begin at Le Chateau (15 N. Naches) at 6pm with a traditional Mexican dinner provided by Fiesta Foods. Margaritas, wine, and beer will be available. The party will then move across the street to The Seasons Performance Hall for a thrilling concert by YoHo, a duo team on marimbas and percussion from Morelia, Michoacan. This will be a return trip for marimbist Oscar Esqueda who appeared with the Yakima Symphony Chamber Orchestra last November. For this performance Oscar will be joined by his musical partner, Alan Montoya. Event tickets are $50 and include dinner, concert and a beverage. Tickets can be purchased at The Seasons Box Office (509-453-1888), on-line at the Yakima-Morelia Sister City website (http://www.yakimamorelia.org) and from membeers of the association. The Yakima-Morelia Sister City Association is a non-profit, people to people association interested in promoting goodwill and exchange in trade, education, tourism, and culture betwen Yakima, Washington and Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. The association aims to provide an opportunity for people from the two cities to share their culture and ideas.
