What We Were
What We Were by Blake Hackler Directed by Charlotte Peters
Presented by Pony World Theatre
April 10 - May 2 at West of Lenin 203 N 36th St, Seattle
Three sisters in an East Texas town have a dark family secret, a traumatic past that divides them. The youngest sister, Tessa, has been missing for 17 years. Now it appears she has resurfaced and older sisters Nell and Carlin must decide how much of their past they are willing to face in order to save her. As the story of their relationships weaves from past to present, we see how coping means finding a balance between escape and confronting the truth. What We Were mixes procedural mystery with memory as these sisters learn that home isn't just where your heart is.
