KARAGOZ: FOREST OF THE WITCH
Karagoz, the Turkish clown of shadow theatre, has entertained audiences for centuries. Now Karagoz comes to Seattle for only two evenings!
FOREST OF THE WITCH Performed by Ayhan Hulagu
Friday March 13th, 2020 at 8pm Saturday March 14th, 2020 at 8pm
Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Asset of Humanity, Karagoz is being introduced to American audiences thanks to the dedicated efforts of Ayhan Hulagu - the first Karagoz puppeteer to perform on Broadway!
In this traditional shadow play, Karagoz asks his buddy, Hacivat, to venture into the forest and investigate the strange occurrences. The comedic duo discover magic, decide to help protect the environment and have the opportunity for much buffoonery! Don't miss this ridiculous adventure!
Please note: May not be suitable for young children and other sensitive audience members due to slapstick violence.
