Surreal Storytelling with Strange Women #5
Join four strange women for an evening of surreal storytelling. Doors at 7PM. Readings begin at 7:30 PM. The most intimate space we've occupied thus far. Only 45 tickets are available. 21+. All sales are final.

Predominately standing room with LIMITED SEATING AVAILABLE*. Please arrive early to guarantee a spot. *We will accommodate folks who are unable to stand for long periods.

PLEASE NOTE: This venue is not ADA compliant. The show takes place in the belly of Alibi Room and requires the use of stairs.

CASH IS QUEEN. Please bring cash to tip the bartender, purchase work from the artists, and stock up on Surreal Storytelling merch.

MEET THE STRANGE WOMEN.

 CAROL GUESS is the author of twenty books of poetry and prose, including Darling Endangered, Doll Studies: Forensics, and Tinderbox Lawn. A frequent collaborator, she writes across genres and illuminates historically marginalized material. In 2014 she was awarded the Philolexian Award for Distinguished Literary Achievement by Columbia University. She teaches at Western Washington University and lives in Seattle.

JASMINE KHALIQ is a Pakistani-Mexican poet from San Francisco, California. She holds a B.A. In English: Creative Writing and a minor in Gender Studies from San Francisco State University. She now lives in Seattle, where she is a teacher and MFA Candidate at the University of Washington. She also serves on the poetry board for The Seattle Review. Her work has appeared in Transfer Magazine.

JORDYN MURRAY is a Michigan-born, Arizona-raised writer, papermaker, and performance artist. She is also mildly handy with other things, such as grading papers. She holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently a candidate for an MFA in creative writing at the University of Washington. jordynmurray.com

JOULE ZELMN is a short story writer, film critic, and improviser from New Jersey, now living in Seattle. She did her master's thesis on the Czechoslovak New Wave at Université Paris III in 2013. Since then, she has contributed film and theater reviews to The Stranger and East European Film Bulletin. She has also produced several queer comedy shows in the series Chain Lynx Fence. She currently works on the Stranger's arts events directory and spends the rest of her time on as many creative projects as possible. She would like to say hello to your cat.
