Boxcar Kingdom
An original play by Brandon Eller, Cassie Bray, and Keith Taveras, Boxcar Kingdom is an absurdist foray into the reclamation and reparation of all things lost and damaged. It follows the antics and musings of Joe and Jooli, squalorly companions determined to stave off death and ennui with rigorous drink and revelry. They whittle away the hours, recounting, forgetting, grieving-- unable to exist outside their absurd microcosm fraught with hedonistic codependence. They relish their self-made cycles and thirst for more. More pleasure. More purpose. More drink.
Brandon, Cassie, and Keith are many things-- modern musketeers, multi-faceted theatre artists, broke bohemians-- who enjoy holding a grimy mirror up to the grimier world.
