
SR Socially Relevant (TM) Film Festival New York is a non-profit film festival showcasing socially relevant films & stories in response to the proliferation of violence & violent forms of storytelling.
Following last year's successful inaugural edition, SR Socially Relevant Film Festival New York will be back from March 16 to 22 with an exciting selection of films from over 30 countries. Spanning a broad range of social issues from women empowerment, gun control and race relations, climate change to LGBT rights, this unique festival aims to raise awareness through the work of talented filmmakers. This year's festival promises an interesting slate of films, masterclasses, industry panels and parties to take place across several Manhattan locations including Tribeca Cinemas, Harlem's Maysles Cinema, the School of Visual Arts MFA SocDoc in Chelsea and The Fourth Restaurant Union Square.
