We are individuals and organizations collaboratively committed to the peaceful, critical, and strategic pursuit of a just and loving Memphis.
We engage in self-reflection, dialogue, education, training, and nonviolent action to collectively re-envision and recreate our region as a fully welcoming and nurturing community.
Our goal is to begin a grassroots campaign to end systemic police harassment and misconduct, and to promote positive reforms to our local criminal justice system for all Memphians.
Memphis United is a grassroots coalition made up of The Memphis Center for Independent Living, Homeless Organizing for Power and Equality, Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition, Subliminal Thought, The South Main Cypher Series, Memphis Bus Riders Union, Pro-Memphis Project, Manna House Memphis, ADAPT of Tennessee, LOUD, All Saints Church, The Bridge: Memphis%u2019 Street Newspaper, BOYS INC. and the Mid-South Peace and Justice Center.
