University of Silicon Andhra presents, Jagat Pavani Ganga, the sanctifier of the Universe is a stage presentation of the glory of Ganga interpreted with ancient and contemporary verses which extol the need to preserve Her purity and sanctity. It combines Bharathanatyam, Classical Carnatic music, Garhwali music and dance, Shadow Play and Theatre to depict the incomparable splendor of the HIMALAYAN GANGA.
Music is composed by the legendary GJR Krishnan and concept design, choreography and direction is by Guru Revathi Ramachandran, director at Kalakshetra for the prodction. The saga of the sacred Ganga is unfolded through an artistically interwoven ensemble by an incredibly talented group of dancers from Chennai, India- the intent is to culminate in a philosophical introspection of the ecological value systems that is gripping the society.
