Cincinnati Soundbox

The New Concerto Project started over a brainstorming session. We were both interested in writing more for orchestra, but opportunities for performances of new orchestral works are rare. To address this, we decided to put together an event to premiere concerti by four young composers. While the music youll hear tonight varies in style and approach, all of the works explore new meaning for the concerto genre in our time. The composers, soloists, and conductors have local roots in Cincinnati, as well as New York City, Boston, Nashville, and Melbourne.
