Matapa Music & Arts Organization

Established in 2012,  with a mandate of working to celebrate cultural diversity through the presentation of world music and arts, festivals and education, while recognizing and further establishing southern Ontario, specifically Hamilton, as a vibrant cultural community that promotes the best in music and arts with origins from around the world, Matapa Music & Arts Organization has emerged from a struggle of bringing a music genre that was not consumed in a professional way in Hamilton and other art forms and conversation on how to build a strong and inclusive arts scene in Hamilton to become the most inclusive arts organization in Hamilton.
