The mission of the Stirling Historical Society is to preserve the history of the Village of Greenport and to foster, promote and encourage research and public knowledge of and interest in local and national history. We collect, preserve, and maintain artifacts, records, books, papers and other articles and things touching on our local history for the community. We operate the Ireland House Museum, care for its growing collection and present new history exhibits to the public. We offer educational programs and events to local school children and lifelong learners. We also continue to make progress establishing the Berger House Archive Center as a research resource for the public.
