The Oyster Industry: Yesterday & Today
Join us for an informative pop up exhibit and presentation on the local oyster industry.
Stirling Historical Society Member and Trustee, Gene Austin, will present a comprehensive history of the vibrant oyster industry that was once home to Greenport's waterfront.
Ian Wilde of Little Creek Oyster Farm & Market will join Mr. Austin in this talk and speak about the return of the oyster and the growing oyster farming community that exists on the East End of Long Island today.
