>>> READ ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM - THINGS HAVE CHANGED :) <<<
Come join us over Memorial Day 2020 for a weekend to make friends, have discussions, go hiking, and celebrate the Frugal Life.
This is the 7th annual Camp Mustache. The past five years have been a blast, and we are so excited to make new friends and see old ones as we head into year seven.
Once again, we've rented out a private retreat center 35 miles outside of Seattle with hiking trails, beautiful scenery, and full catering.
Your ticket covers 3 nights of lodging, an evening of interactive entertainment, 2 days of breakout sessions, and delicious meals prepared by professional chefs.
**After talking to members of the community, we've found there's a greater need for discussion about the philosophy and values of the FI movement. We serendipitously stumbled on some of it at 2018's Camp (e.g. Vicki Robin's discussion) but want to make it an official part of all future Camp Mustaches.
So starting last year, we've changed the retreat format to have two "tracks" (like a conference): "Nuts and bolts" (4% rule, travel hacking, real estate, etc) and "Big Ideas", where we'll discuss how to connect FI with sustainability and service, not just in the post-FI life, but weaving it into everyone's journey to FI.***
Q&A:.
How much are children? Children 0-3 are free, and children 4-10 are $200. Children 11 and up are full price ($500). If you're interested in bringing children, please consider that we never know how many children are coming until the end, so we can't promise how many kids will be there, or what ages. Please be prepared that your child may not have many playmates and will probably need your constant supervision.
Can I get a private bed? The lodge we are renting has some private rooms, and some shared rooms. If you're coming with 3 or 4 other people, we may be able to put you all in 1 room. If you're coming alone or with a friend/partner, you may have to share a room.
Can I camp? There are no campsites at the retreat center.
I live near Seattle, can I just come for the day? While we don't sell "everything but lodging" tickets, you're welcome to buy a regular ticket but not stay in the lodge. Please let us know if that's the case.
Who is hosting this? That would be us! Kristin and Joe. We are longtime readers of MMM, and this is our 7th year hosting this event. We're getting lots of help this year from our new co-organizer Alma. All 3 of us are really excited to share a weekend with other readers.
Is this a for-profit event? Absolutely not. Every penny of your ticket is going towards the lodge, the food, and misc expenses. Joe, Kristin, and Alma are volunteering their time. Extra revenue goes towards a carbon footprint offset.
Are the tickets refundable? No. You are welcome to sell your ticket *for face-value* to someone else up until April 15th, which is when we lock-down exchanges due to lodging logistics.
I purchased a ticket. When do I get all the details? Your confirmation email should contain a link to our secret FB page where all details will be posted, plus you can chat with fellow event attendees. If you didn't get the info about the FB page, please email us campmustache@gmail.com
The event is sold out. Is there a waitlist? We don't maintain a waitlist, but if you're looking to buy someone else's ticket you should look on our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/welovecampmustache
