"The Great Imposters" is an extremely entertaining group of professional female illusionists who bring glamour, high camp hilarity, uncanny celebrity impersonations and impressions to the cabaret stage. "The Great Imposters" is the longest-standing "brand" in this field of entertainment in Canada having a history of Female Impersonation entertainment that goes back to the 1960's when the troupe was founded by Michelle DuBarry and (the late) Rusty Ryan. The current troupe is anchored by Bryan Greenwood, who himself, joined The Great Imposters under Rusty Ryan in 1982, and brings to the show a vast knowledge and experience with the brand that he knows makes it work. The show is irreverent, hilarious, thought provoking, and just all round fantastic entertainment value. Comedic content may be based on and may include "colourful" language, bawdy and irreverent humour, abrasive political views and social commentary,politically incorrect and potentially offensive material - audience members may be centered out and joked about. Special Note: On June 9 at RCL Branch 90 in Brantford, Michelle DuBarry will be making a special guest appearance where he will give blessings and endorsement to the new cast. Michelle is now Canada's oldest performing Drag Queen, recipient of the Lt. Governor's award and is currently the subject of a ground-breaking and historically significant bio-doc on his life.
