Puppets & Pottery- Stirring up Friendships One Bowl at at Time
At Teaching Awareness through Puppetry (TAP), we believe in the power of storytelling to spark empathy, inclusion, and meaningful conversations. As a nonprofit, our troupe of volunteer puppeteers bring engaging, educational puppetry workshops to elementary schools across Canadaboth virtually and in person. Each year, we reach many students using our carefully crafted puppetry workshops to address topics like disability awareness, understanding ourselves and others, and the importance of kindness, in ways that are age-appropriate and accessible. Recently featured in the Toronto Star for our unique ability to tackle hard-to-talk-about topics, our work continues to grow but we need your help to reach even further.
About the Event Puppets & Pottery: Stirring Up Friendship One Bowl at a Time! is a warm, community-driven fundraiser that blends food, fun, and friendship.
Guests will: Enjoy a variety of soups Meet our beloved puppets and learn about their stories Hear from our passionate volunteers and directors Choose a handmade bowl to keepreminding them of the importance of inclusion and connection.
We aim to raise funds to continue and expand our reachspecifically to bring our workshops to schools that would benefit from our program to achieve their learning objectives and classroom goals, as well as expand our reach beyond the Greater Toronto Area. Your support will allow more children across Canada to benefit from TAPs message of empathy, awareness, disability inclusion, and community-building.
