Youth Taiko Workshop
Northwest Taiko and Kubota Garden Foundation are partnering to offer this unique hands-on drumming workshop for youth!
Taiko translates to drum in Japanese! Participants will experience a variety of Japanese percussion instruments, learn taiko vocabulary, basic taiko hits, and a simple song.
There are two available workshops: one for ages 5-10 from 10am 11am and the other for ages 11-17 from 11:15am 12:15pm. To select the time you want, click the drop down under "Date."
This workshop has limited space at 12 participants per session.
There will be educators and volunteers to supervise the program. Adults are welcome to stay and supervise their child(ren) participating in the workshop, especially if they are age 10 or younger. Adults do not need to sign up for a spot.
