DANCESCAPES: Featuring the Virginia Repertory Dance Company
DANCESCAPES is a diverse concert of dance styles featuring super physical movement and high energy performances.
DANCESCAPES is based in the School of Theatre and Dance at James Madison University, the company will feature works by Philadelphia based choreographer Stephanie Liapis, Charlotte choreographer Emily Cargill, Virginia artist Emily Wright, and Richmond choreographer and Dogtown Dance Theatre Artistic Director Jess Burgess.
We are also excited to present a historic solo by modern dance pioneer Daniel Nagrin and new pieces from Artistic Directors Ryan Corriston and Shane OHara, who collaborated with Costa Rican choreographic artist Heather Lundy.
