Artist and Author scheduled to appear:
ART: Adri Norris stated At an early age I knew I wanted to be an artist. Throughout all my life changes, from Barbados to New York to New Mexico, then joining the Marines, my passion for art was the one thing that persisted. My Women Behaving Badly series of paintings was born out of a desire to educate people about women from the past. My list of women numbers in the hundreds and I have barely scratched the surface. Portrait of Toni Morrison pictured left.

EDUCATION: Patricia Limerick author of Desert Passages, The Legacy of Conquest, Something in the Soil, and A Ditch in Time. Limerick has dedicated her career to bridging the gap between academics and the general public, to demonstrate the benefits of applying historical perspective to contemporary dilemmas and conflicts, and to make the case for humor as an essential asset of the humanities.

FILM: Barbara Bridges is the co-author of Hollywood: Herstory, An Illustrated History of Women in the Movies that documents womens contributions to the film industry since its founding in the 1890s. Some famous icons, some unknown, the book pays tribute to the spirit and talent of these filmmakers and artists.

There will be an opportunity to purchase their work. Bring check or cash.
