Enjoy Bloody Marys while supporting the Cedarburg Friends of Parks & Recreation! Five sponsor bars compete a second year for the title Best Bloody Mary, while participants compete for Best Costume ($100, $50 and $25 awarded for first, second and third place). Participants vote for Best Bloody Mary and Best Costume to determine the winners.
The five Cedarburg sponsor bars are: AT JJ's, North 48, Maxwell's, Stilt House and The five20 Social Stop at the Stagecoach Inn. The 2018 Best Bloody Mary trophy went to The five20 Social Stop at the Stagecoach Inn - can they do it again or will they take the Walk of Shame down the street to hand-off the trophy to someone else? YOU DECIDE!!
There are a limited number of tickets available for this Scary Bloody Mary Walk. The morning of the event on October 27, if you purchased your ticket through Brownpapertickets.com, bring your ID to check-in at the Community Center Gym (W63 N641 Washington Avenue). Once you have checked in, you will receive your Ticket to get one Bloody Mary at each of the five sponsor bars, a goodie bag, a map of the area (about a 5-block walk end-to-end) and a wristband to show you've been carded.
If you would like to be in the Costume Contest, register at the Check-In table at the Community Gym. You will wear a Race Bib number so voters can identify you. You can register as a Team, so any votes cast for one of the costumes on your team would count toward the whole group (i.e., if three of you are dressed as three blind mice, a vote for any one of you would count toward your team total).
If you are a designated driver, we will give you a special wristband for one free soda at each of the five sponsor bars. We trust you will not drink any alcohol. Participants who paid for a ticket can also request Virgin Marys.
Participants can go to the bars in any order but MUST CHECK-IN at the Community Center Gym first. Check-in will start at 10:30am and end at 2:00pm on October 27. Everyone participating in the Scary Bloody Mary Walk will use their ticket to vote for the Best Bloody Mary and Best Costume when they are done. Ballot boxes will be located at each bar and at the Community Center Gym. The bar voted Best Bloody Mary will receive the traveling trophy and have their name added as the 2019 winner. The participants voted Best Costume will receive $100 cash for first place, $50 for second and $25 for third.
Slider sandwiches, chips and water will be available from noon until about 1pm at the Community Center Gym compliments of Olsen's Piggly Wiggly. We encourage participants to visit area restaurants after the event.
Please be patient and courteous and remember to tip your bartenders. They will be working hard to make you the Best Bloody Mary ever!
You must be at least 21 years of age to participate in this event.
