Watkinson School presents...Freshly Squeezed with Colin McEnroe: Laura Nyro was the Emily Dickinson of American Pop Music.
Last season's "Freshly Squeezed with Colin McEnroe," hosted at Watkinson School, was a complete sell out! Join us for the eighth season, as parents, community leaders, educators -everyone who cares about the challenges we're facing these days gathers for the opportunity to think and talk together at these nimble, personal, and participatory forums.
For those who enjoy wisdom with wit, substance with style, and the opportunity to be part of the conversation, "Freshly Squeezed with Colin McEnroe" has become a must-go series!
You can purchase your ticket to the second forum in the 2019-2020 Freshly Squeezed series here.
January 29, 2020 * Laura Nyro was the Emily Dickinson of American Pop Music.
Her most famous compositions - "Stoned Soul Picnic," "Stoney End," "When I Die," "Wedding Bell Blues," "Eli's Coming" - are jewels of mainstream music, and her covers of songs like "Jimmy Mack" and "Gonna Take a Miracle" are legendary. But she was uncomfortable under the spotlight and withdrew from it to become the Belle of Danbury. This will be a night of singing, reflecting and celebrating.
**There is limited availability for the dinner portion of this event so please purchase today if you are interested!
