Motherhood, Barbells, and T-Shots
Mona Malec is a world champion Highland Games athlete, actress, power lifter, and mother of two. Four years ago, her youngest son was her daughter. This show is about how they've transitioned together from a mother/daughter relationship into a mother/son relationship.

"Motherhood, Barbells, & T-Shots" is an autobiographical one-woman show incorporating gesture-based dance, ritual movement, and olympic weightlifting.

"Motherhood, Barbells, & T-Shots" is written and performed by Mona Malec and co-created and directed by Rod Harrison. Mona and Rod have been artistic collaborators for over 20 years. Notable projects include "Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune" at The Santa Fe Playhouse, "A Dream Inside Another" with Theatre Grottesco and SideShow Physical Theater, and "King Lear" at Theaterwork.
