"This Side of Crazy" - MCCSF Theatre Night Fundraiser
Join MCCSF for a fun night at the theatre as we go to see Del Shores' latest - "This Side of Crazy"!

Little superstars for Jesus, the Blaylock Sisters, are all grown up and kind of a mess. Theres Rachel, a Christian vlogger who still has sex with her comatose husband, Abigail, a chain-smoking virgin with anger management issues, and Bethany, a closeted atheist stripper. When their overbearing stage mother, Ditty, volunteers her daughters for a star-studded reunion performance, all hell breaks loose. From the brilliant and hilarious mind of Sordid Lives creator, Del Shores, comes a brand new comedy about fame, family, and finding your way back home.

Playwright and Director Del Shores is the creator of the cult-favorite Sordid Lives franchise and writer/director/producer of Southern Baptist Sissies, Daddys DyinWhos Got The Will?, Blues for Willadean, and Queer As Folk. His work has received multiple nominations, including Ovation, GLAAD, and awards including the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, NAACP Drama-Logue, Back Stage West Garland, and LA Weekly Career Achievement.

We will have hors d'oeuvres before the show, cash bar, a 50/50 raffle, and a giveaway of 4 tickets to a future show at NCTC. Doors open at 7:00, show starts at 8:00.

Proceeds will benefit the general fund of the Metropolitan Community Church of San Francisco, located at 1300 Polk Street. The Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches was founded 50 years ago to be a church home for the LGBTQ+ community, and MCCSF was founded 2 years later. During the height of the AIDS epidemic we held funerals when no other churches would, and we have always held same sex marriage ceremonies. Today we continue to serve the LGBTQ+ community - we are all loved and valued by God for who we are, NOT in spite of who we are.
