Comedy on Elm Street with Jim Colliton, Carl Yard, Dan Gill & Bob Sheehy
Elm Draught House Cinema brings in another great lineup of comedians: Jim Colliton, Card Yard, Danny Gill and Bob Sheehy on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 9:30 p.m.
The show is presented by Scamps Comedy (ScampsComedy.com) and tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door on show night.
Elm favorite Jim Collitons clean, conversational style has made him a national favorite at colleges, cruise ships, theaters he often tours with Brian Regan and top clubs like the Tropicana Casino in Las Vegas, New York City's Comic Strip Live, and Mohegan Sun. His funny take on home and family life has landed him on Comedy Central, Comcast Comedy Spotlight, Ed McMahon's Next Big Star, and on XM-Sirius Satellite radio. His CD was named Best Comedy CD of 2009 by the "Just Folks Awards." If you have ever been embarrassed about the contents of your recycling bin or tried to kill a flying bat in your house, his promotional material reads, you will find Collitons comedy hilarious.
Comedian Carl Yard was born on the tiny Caribbean island of Barbados. After moving to Boston in the summer of 1984, he was drawn to the thriving Boston comedy scene, and within two years began headlining at all the major clubs and colleges in New England. His high energy and edgy style of comedy placed him in high demand with the industrys top entertainers, and hes continued to play open for top acts and play top venues around the Northeast United States.
High energy and bombastic, Dan Gill puts a charge into any audience with material that's fast, loud, sharp and funny. A veteran of the Boston comedy scene, he's performed in clubs, restaurants and theaters around New England, and shared the stage with top comedians including Steven Wright, Louis C.K., Wendy Leibman, Anthony Clark, Jimmy Dunn, and more. His career highlight? "I told a joke on The Bozo Show as a kid," he said. "I haven't been on TV since."
Bob Sheehy is a comedian and actor with an on-stage demeanor thats friendly, charismatic, and extremely funny. Hes performed at top Boston clubs, and also New York City hot spots such as Carolines Comedy Club and The Comic Strip, and at Foxwoods. Hes performed with Tommy Chong, Dane Cook, Kevin Meaney, and Meatloaf, and done a list of film, television, radio, live theater and web work that includes commercials for Together Dating Service, and segment host on Divorced and Loving It on MYTV.
