Christopher was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in August 2015. After that initial diagnosis he began chemo and radiation treatments in November 2015, and had surgery in March 2016, after which he continued his treatments. This got him to the point of being cancer free. Due to complications from the original surgery he underwent a second surgery in August 2017. Unfortunately in July 2018 his tests showed that the cancer has metastasized to his lungs, and is now stage 4. Since August 2018 he has been going through another round of chemo, and this round has made him incredibly ill, and has had a lot of negative side effects on him, both physically and mentally. He has even been hospitalized a few times as a result of these side effects, most recently in April 2019. His most recent round of testing, in January 2019, showed that the chemo hasn't had the desired effect on his cancer, so he will now have to continue these treatments that have already made him so sick.
As a result of this he has been unable to continue working, which has resulted in severe financial hardship. The worry of how they will keep their home, pay their bills, etc. has added a lot of stress on him, which does not help him in his fight. Join us for a spaghetti dinner and basket raffle to help ease the financial burden, and allow him to focus on the most important thing, his fight for his life.
