The Devil Mask Society and Queer Qoven Present: A Weekend with Cynna Rae
Cynna is a charismatic rope slut from Austin, Texas, joining us for a weekend in Los Angeles to instruct an **intermediate-level intensive** for those working on suspension and transition sequences. She is primarily a rope bottom, as well as a proficient and passionate top, who uses her experiences on both sides of the rope to inform her teaching.
This weekend, Cynna will lead us through several patterns for chest and hip harnesses and demonstrate their use in intermediate-level transition sequences. Her teaching will focus on adapting ties to suit the bottoms needs - including adaptations for mobility issues, physical preferences, and tying big bodies.
There will be options presented that work for ground play, partial, and full suspension. Students will be given time on both days to lab and experiment with things they have learned in class.
Please note: This is not a beginner level class. Attendees should come with their own rope, knowledge of pattern construction, a fundamental understanding of rope safety, as well as some suspension experience.

Knowledge Needed:
TOPS should feel comfortable tying a non-collapsing single column tie and several harnesses (chest harness, hip harness, futomomo, etc.). If you plan on suspending, you should be comfortable with upline attachment and management.
BOTTOMS should have a good idea of their own risk profile, as well as some experience working on their own body awareness. If you plan on being suspended, we would also prefer that you have some prior experience being suspended.
ALL TYING PARTIES should be able to communicate to their partner about their needs in a clear and non-judgmental way.
Please Bring:
8-12 lengths of suspension-quality rope (more if needed)
**Note: the instructor teaches knots and frictions using a natural fiber jute rope. These may not translate to synthetic/nylon rope, due to the nature of the material.**
If suspending: suspension gear such as climbing straps, carabiners, rings, etc.

Class Schedule:
Saturday, 7/13/19, 11:00am-5:00pm (1 hr. break for lunch).
Sunday, 7/14/19, 11:00am-5:00pm (1 hr. break for lunch).
Doors will open at 10:30.
Presenter Bio & Venue Information:
Cynna has performed on stage at Ropecraft: San Antonio and can be found regularly instructing as the co-leader of Hitchin Bitches: ATX. Recently, she has brought her knowledge of body awareness and rope handling to Sacramento, Oakland, and Denver.
This will be a body positive, consent aware, and LGBTQ+ friendly event hosted in a queer-owned space by plus size and LGBTQ+ folx. Please feel welcome to come as you are - all identities will be respected as we expand our knowledge of rope bondage.
Note: Please do not bring mats, as the venue will have them. However, you may want to bring layers, a cushion, or a small blanket. It can get cold when people are tying or being tied, and even sitting on mats all day can be hard for some people. Please note that, due to limited space, this event will be limited to 9 tying pairs and 2 audit attendees.
