PIE CAMP® WITH KATE McDERMOTT
Join Kate McDermott for a 4-Day Pie Baking Experience. Included 3 Nights Lodging* and All Meals*.
FRIDAY
We'll gather at 4PM on Friday afternoon at our lodging which is just two blocks from Pie Cottage. Enjoy some wine and cheese, and meet other pie makers from across the country. Then we'll stroll to Pie Cottage for our opening supper, capped off by Kate's freshly baked pies.
SATURDAY
After breakfast at our lodging, we will visit the Port Angeles Farmers Market. We will return to Pie Cottage and learn to make and refine our dough making techniques while making sweet and tasty pastry treats, followed by lunch. Next we will create a savory pot pie that we will enjoy for our supper. After dinner we will relax at our beautiful lodging and watch a showing of A Few Good Pie Places.
SUNDAY
Breakfast will be at our lodging followed by another day of pastry making at Pie Cottage. We will learn how to make meringues, cream pies, gluten free doughs, fillings, how to blind bake, use thickeners and create our own recipes. Create your own lunch on Sunday and head out on your own for an afternoon of touring, wine tasting, knitting, reading, or even napping. Well meet again at Pie Cottage for supper followed by a recipe exchange.
MONDAY
After a Pie Cottage breakfast, we will check out of our lodging by 11AM, and head back to the Pie Cottage baking counter to create and bake our full sized fruit pies to take home. Pie Camp will end by 4PM on Monday.
Workshop will be held in Port Angeles, WA; Address will be sent to attendees upon registration.
Please note: Pie Camp® is not Gluten Free or Vegetarian, but both options will be demonstrated at Pie Camp®.
