A Christmas Carol
The WatermelonAlligator Theatre Company is proud to announce the upcoming live dramatization of Charles Dickensimmortal A Christmas Carol, on December 1st, 2018, at 3:00 and 7:00pm at the Bryantville United Methodist Church, 546 Mattakeesett Street, Pembroke, MA.

The performances feature a dramatization of an original script adapted from Dickens beloved tale by WatermelonAlligator Theatre Companys own Jess Wilson, who will also direct the production. Wilson has adapted the story for a number of different productions, including live readings, live radio broadcasts, and fully staged productions. The performances will feature a cast of well-known actors and musicians from across southeastern Massachusetts.  Says Wilson, Ive had the good fortune to work with some amazingly talented people over the years, and I am thrilled at the enthusiasm everyone has had for this project.  We are very excited about this project and grateful for the opportunity to return to Bryantville UMC following our successful production  in December 2016.

Dickens iconic story of greed, compassion, magic, and redemption will come to life through acting, music, and live sound effects. Miserly Ebenezer Scrooge makes life miserable for everyone around him  especially his long-suffering clerk, Bob Cratchit. One fateful Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business associate, Jacob Marley -- a man who was as greedy and cold as Scrooge is  who warns Scrooge that if he continues to live so selfishly, he will spend eternity wearing the chains that his greed has built. Three more spirits visit Scrooge that night: the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet to Come,  who show Scrooge his error in valuing money over people. Scrooge, frightened by the bleak picture of his life, awakes on Christmas morning a new man, promising to change his ways.

This heartwarming evening of theater will be performed at the Bryantville United Methodist Church in Pembroke, MA, for one day only  December 1st at 3:00 and 7:00pm! Doors 30 minutes before showtime, seating is general admission. Tickets are $15 and available in advance online. If not sold out, tickets will also be available at the door 30 minutes prior to showtime.
