Otsukimi Moonviewing Festival 2018
Friday, October 26 & Saturday, October 27 Otsukimi is back for two nights! 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM
$5 Youth (12 and under.) $20 Members of the Garden $25 General Public
Every year the Japanese Friendship Garden brings the valley a traditional Japanese Moon-viewing festival to celebrate the Fall season.
Guests may enjoy entering our Tea Garden (Roji) normally off limits to the public. In the Tea Garden guests will be able to view a traditional tea demonstration by our tea group Tanko-kai.
Along with demonstrations at 7:00 and 8:00 pm, hostesses in Kimono will be serving Matcha tea's, traditional mochi's and sweets at our tea cafe.
Our friends at Hiro Sake and Sapporo USA will be serving tasty sake cocktails and Sapporo beers at our bar. A variety of seasonal wines and of course Japanese favorites like plum wine and sparkling sake will be available as well.
Food vendors serving takoyaki balls, Japanese curry, poke, bao buns, unagi, takiyaki, yakitori more!
