Connected Presence for Moments That Matter: An Introduction to Patsy Rodenburg's Second Circle
Do you find yourself shrinking from valuable opportunities for connection or driving others away with unintentional intimidation? Do you wonder how you could become a more effective and more valuable partner or team member? Do you wish you could speak clearly when the stakes are high? Connected presence could be the key.
Based on the work of world-renowned British voice and acting coach Patsy Rodenburg, this two-week mini-course will introduce safe and fun movement, breathing, and vocal exercises that show how to inhabit Second Circle, a physical and attitudinal way of being that generates: greater charisma resilient confidence creative insight amplified power improved perception calm in the face of chaos clearer communication authentic connection more skillful ensemble work This work opens a sense of possibility and freedom very quickly--it may well shift how you move in the world! Students without any formal vocal or theatrical training are most welcome. Those with refined skills in either arena will likely find valuable insights and avenues for further development.
Class will meet from 7-10pm, Thursday, Nov 9th and Thursday, Nov 16th. Please arrive a little early so we can start on time.
Please note: the workshop will involve standing and moving a good deal. Those with mobility issues are still welcome and it would help to contact the instructor (Ted) to make sure it's a good and healthy fit for you.
