GCJ University Presents: Introduction to Kink and BDSM with Lamalani
Join Lamalani on a guided tour of kink and BDSM. Lamalani has traveled the world as a BDSM educator and leather community ambassador, listening to stories and learning techniques from local elders along the way. She will give a cosmopolitan overview of leather history, examples of different types of play, basics of negotiation, how to craft a scene, and show you the tools to make it happen. This class is for you, so come with questions!
Lamalani has been active in the leather community since 1999. In 2008, Lamalani held the title of Washington State Ms Leather. The following year she was fortunate enough to earn the title of International Ms Leather, during which time she served the leather community and advocated for the expansion of accessible self defense for women and at risk populations. Professionally, Lamalani spent 15 years working as a purchaser and sex-educator at the women-owned sex toy store Babeland. She later went on to works as a hemp bondage rope maker with Twisted Monk, and a craftsperson at Mr S Leathers. Lamalani has presented at conferences such as Desire Leatherwomens conference, South Plains Leatherfest, Northern Exposure Alaska, Lupercalia in Edmonton AB, Thunder in the Mountains, and offers private classes in various areas of BDSM. She is an enthusiastic practitioner of rope bondage, fire play, and roughhousing. Lamalani has volunteered as a self-defense instructor with Home Alive and relaxes by playing percussion and riding her motorcycles. She was awarded the Northwest Regional Pantheon XV, Leather Emerald Award, and named as one of The Advocate magazine's annual list of 40 exemplary people under age 40. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Ohio where she lives with her submissive.
