As you can imagine, I was thrilled to learn that my Netflix show, Bill Nye Saves the World, was nominated for several Creative Arts Emmys. However, I recently found out that the awards ceremony directly conflicts with my time with you and the Kepler's Literary Foundation at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center, and as a result I will no longer be able to attend the event.
While science has made extraordinary advancements in our lifetime, we still have not quite figured out how to be in two places at once. I'm extremely disappointed to have to cancel this event, and hope that you'll be able to join me on Sunday, Sept. 10th at 1:00pm at the Castro Theater in San Francisco.
