Girls Inc. of the Island City: Women Who Dare Awards Event
The Women Who Dare Awards Event and Luncheon is Girls Inc. of the Island City's signature event of the year.
This year's event will be on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Scott's Seafood Restaurant Pavillion in Oakland's Jack London Square.
At the event we will be honoring outstanding women and teens in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

Eco Leaders - Caitlin Grey, Emily Ball, Mika Hernandez Women for Women - Yalda Sultan, Bronte Mak Teen Innovator - Kerry Chin
Nancy O'Malley District Attorney for Alameda County, will emcee the event, O'Malley is the first female district attorney in Alameda County. She has taken what was traditionally a male position and lead the way for women seeking non-traditional positions in the county.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $35 per person, plus service charge.
Prize drawing tickets are $10 each/3 for $25 are available be e-mailing khearn@girlsincislandcity.org, and will be available the day of the event.
